I still do like the concept of Pinkie as a nervous, reluctant but earnest princess a lot. She's not the kind of pony who is happy or at ease to have more responsibility put on her.. but she's anything but truly irresponsible, either. At least when it counts, most the time. The idea... resonates with me. It has potential.
I'm glad you think I did a good job with it! The piece is all very rough and shows its age, but I am still happy that I managed to capture the right feeling. And the heart added to the balloon cords is probably my favorite part of this whole design. Though the idea of the Mark changing along with becoming an alicorn is obviously quite defunct by now.
And the silly song thing is my creation, yes. It's intended to be a riff on Pinkie's Smile Song, following the same basic melody. I realized it was really rough and shoehorned even when I wrote it, but it's frankly a bit embarrassing now. I still like the idea, but the execution is...
